Getting the wheels aligned involves very small measurements and adjustments on specialized equipment. The service will involve a toe and caster adjustment in front, and the rear wheels will have a toe and camber adjustment.

One way to check your alignment is to let go of your steering wheel when it is safe to do so. if it keeps going straight, you are fine, but if it leans to either side it may need an adjustment. Keeping your car wheels aligned makes driving easier and makes your tires last longer. It is a good idea to get this checked yearly.

When to Schedule Four-Wheel Alignment Service

If you hit a curb, or anything else, hard it is good to get it checked. If your wheels are out of alignment your car will drift to one side and one side of your tires will wear out much faster than they would have normally. Tires wear out slowly, so you might not notice it until it is too late. At a minimum, you will wear out your tires too soon if you delay. At worst it could eventually affect your steering so bad it could cause an accident.
